1. Excellent dielectric properties and no aging of glass insulators.
The insulation performance of the insulator is closely related to the internal molecular structure of the insulating material. Glass has an amorphous structure, no fixed melting point of silicate compounds, dense structure, uniform texture, produced through an easy-to-control continuous production process, so as to eliminate the influence of production personnel on the performance of the insulator. SiO2 is the skeleton of the glass, other oxides are filled with the skeleton and bound by chemical bonds, the interaction is large, not easily polarized by the electric field, shows good inertia, is an ideal insulating material.
2. Glass insulator has good mechanical properties and temperature difference characteristics.
When the vitreous body is still in a high temperature state after pressing and molding, the vitreous surface is suddenly cooled by spraying controlled cold air to create a uniform pre-stress, so that the interior of the vitreous body is compressed by the cold and generates internal stress, which makes the vitreous surface appear to be under constant compressive stress. After the glass body goes through the tempering process, its mechanical impact resistance is greatly improved. In addition, when a single grounding short circuit occurs in the transmission line, a large short-circuit current will be generated, which requires the insulator to have good arc resistance and so that the tensile strength cannot be reduced. The arc resistance of the tempered glass insulator is higher than that of the porcelain insulator, but the tensile strength is not significantly reduced.
3. Glass insulators have a long service life.
The glass parts of the insulator are tempered (760 ~ 780 degrees) to obtain a uniform distribution of the internal tempering stress, which will not decrease with the extension of the service life of the product. The high temperature of the line operation is 70 ~ 80 degrees, which is far lower than the annealing temperature of the glass; in the case of lightning or flash pollution, although the arc temperature can reach more than 3,000 degrees C, the arc time is very short, and the glass cannot be annealed. Therefore, the glass insulator has a long life cycle and is not easy to age, the characteristics are scientifically valid.
