This JDL series of insulation piercing clamps are mainly used for branching of wires with applicable voltage of 10kV, 1kV and less than 1kV.
Installation:
1. Check the conductor diameter and clamp type;
2. Determine where the clamp is installed on the transmission line, and then strip the conductor, the stripping length of the conductor insulation layer is equal to the length of the clamp with parallel grooves plus about 10mm;
3. Wipe the wire core with alcohol, apply conductive paste, then put it into the parallel slot clamp and fasten it with bolts. All kinds of clamps should be installed and fastened with a torque wrench according to the standard torque.
4. Close and secure the insulation cover tightly after the wire clamp is inserted into the insulation cover.
5. After installing the insulation cover, wrap the seams on the cover body and the wire clamp outlet with black insulation tape.
6. Check whether the grounding ring part of the wire clamp is perpendicular to the ground plane, and correct it if not.
